Shridi Sai Baba Temples in Chennai

There are two prominent temples in Chennai dedicated to shiridi saibaba. These two Sai temples in Chennai City, attract thousands of devotees from all regions.

Shridi Sai temple is one of the well-maintained modern religious center of Hindus and a tourist attraction of Chennai City. This temple is located at Mylapore, in the heart of the Chennai city. Thursday is the special day for Sai Baba. Hence the devotees flock here on Thursday's to have a special worship. It has two separate shrines dedicated to Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. This is the only temple where devotees are allowed to touch, Garland and photograph the Shirdi Sai idol. It is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Sai Baba in South India. On Thursday's a Muslim's chant the Koran at about 4.30 P.M and on Sunday's Christian read Bible, apart from bhajans on Thursdays.

Sai Temple, Injambakkam

This Temple in Chennai was built by Shri Shridi Saibaba spiritual and charitable trust. It is one of the famous Sai temples in Chennai, situated at Injambakkam,the outskirts of Chennai City. The main temple of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is designed in an elegant hexagonal shape made of white marble, towering over a height of 100 feet. The holy fire (Dhuni) is kept burning uninterruptedly here. There are separate shrines dedicated for Vallabha Ganapathy,Thattariya, Lingam, Parvathi, Durga,Lord Venkateswara, Navagrahas, Lord Krishna and Radha etc. People tie a yellow chord in the Kalpatharoo tree here to get their wishes fulfilled. Feeding of the poor takes place every Sunday and Thursday. The majestic view of the seashore from the temple is a memorable experience.
